I love making healthy bean burgers or patties from scratch. One can really be creative and play around with veggies and herbs, quiona and beans and create a healthy, plant-based protein meal. One of the things that I like to have on hand in my freezer is a whole-grain gluten-free bread that I can defrost and make my own bread crumbs to roll my burgers in. Store bought bread crumbs can be so refined and may contain a wide range of preservatives.
Many of the TVP Soy burgers out there are very convenient, but it is a processed soy which is not a good thing to put in your mouth. I don't need any excess estrogen in my body! There is quite enough in the environment that we are already being exposed to!
