Rooibos and Hibiscus Iced Tea

Ingredients:

1 gallon plus 3 cups of water
2/3 cups rooibos tea leaves
2/3 cups hibiscus flowers
3-4 slivers of fresh organic ginger root
3 pieces of cinnamon bark
8 cardamom pods, crushed

Method:

In a large pot, bring water to a boil.

Add the rest of the ingredients and steep for 20 minutes.

Strain through a fine sieve and let tea cool. Add to a large pitcher and store in fridge until ready to drink.

Serve chilled over ice with a slice of lemon or orange, and a sprig of fresh mint.

Enjoy unsweetened or sweeten with stevia, monk fruit or raw honey.
